Wills, Probate,
Administration and Disinheritance

Who needs a will?

A will deals with your personal assets and debts after you pass away.

We believe that everyone needs a will. It is the only way to ensure that your estate is handled they way you wish when the time comes. We will work with your estate planner, usually your accountant or financial planner, to ensure that your estate is planned correctly.

You may also want to review the standardized Will Checklist which we have attached. The checklist covers some of the basic and most common information necessary in preparing a will.

Please contact one of our lawyers to discuss what type of will is appropriate for you.

Probate and Administration

Has one of your loved ones passed away?

If one of your loved ones has passed away, their estate will likely need to go through Probate (if there is a will) or Letters of Administration (if there is no will).

Without Probate or Letters of Administration, it may be impossible to deal with the deceased’s assets and liabilities.

Please contact one of our lawyers to search for a will or learn more about Probate or Letters of Administration.

Have you been disinherited?

Have you been treated unfairly by a family member in their will? The Wills Variation Act provides that spouses and children are entitled to bring an action to vary a will when they have not been treated fairly.

Please contact Walter Kosteckyj or Sonny S. Parhar to discuss your legal options if you have been disinherited or if you are involved with an estate that is being contested.
